Desert Residency
Almeria, Spain
2024 / 25
Organised by myself and Teo Garforth Gibelin, 9 artists inhabited the Spanish desert for two weeks; responding to the land, running workshops and creating work within the acrid landscape. At the end of the two weeks we curated a pop up exhibition in the towns basketball court nestled between the mountains.
I created a flag exploring ideas around submersion, liminal space, warrior rocks as talismans, giant ants and responding to the environment.
